FC Barcelona to Host Historic Match at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the partially upgraded Camp Nou this Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in La Liga two and a half years following their departure for construction to commence.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt in December at Camp Nou. Previous fixtures took place in the temporary ground.
